December 2001 I started with the preproduction of the
music for the film 'Swingers' by Stephan Brenninkmeyer.
I started with some sketches, which you still can hear in
the trailer. Stephan always creates very convincing temp-tracks,
music that is intented to intensify feelings, but
has to be replaced by specially composed music.
For the 10 minute scene, when the main characters become
close, Stephan cut music from the album 'Passion' by Peter
Gabriel, very strong tracks that create a good build-up
to the climax. This would take some beating, so I really had my work cut out. This film included the longest music cue I ever worked on. (Normally a film music cue doesn't last longer than 2 to 3 minutes).
