Danny is a versatile composer and sound designer, with lifelong experience as a composer, arranger and trumpet player
in various professional live bands and orchestra. Along with his
passion for technology this puts him at ease with orchestras
and live musicians in studio environments.
During and after his study at the Academy of Music (Master of Arts in music technology,
computer science and interactive multimedia, 1995)
he established 2 companies: Soundpalette, of course and AudioEase,
a succesful music software company in Utrecht.
In addition, he is a teacher at the faculty of Art and Media Technology
of the Academy of Arts in Utrecht.
Nowadays he concentrates fully on the creation of music and sound design
for all media.
His passion for mixing and sound design can be heard in the feature
films 'Zusje' ('Sister') by director Robert Jan Westdijk (Golden
Calf 1995 for best film) and the succesful TV-series
'De 9 dagen van de Gier' ('The 9 days of the Vulture', for NCRV) by director Boris
Paval Conen (Golden Calf 2002 best drama series).
For 'Swingers'
, the much talked about feature film by director Stephan Brenninkmeyer,
he provided all of the popmusic- and lounge soundtrack, including
the hit 'Swing it' , recorded in the Soundpalette
studios with singer/songwriter George Blanken.

For major feature films Danny prefers to orchestrate
his own compositions for
large orchestra (the Metropole orchesta, The Russian State Symphony
Cinema Orchestra and The City of Prague Philharmonic), although
he is also happy to arrange under someone ekse's authority.
Music and sounddesign for theatre is his latest passion, a
field which allows him to combine all his studio and film music expertise
He would wish to work again on the 'Synclavier'.
He works in studio 1,2, 3 but mainly in
studio 4
