Bart is the golden boy of mixing and sound design. He usually works in studio 2. As an expert he has a clear opinion and tries to stick to it. "I love creating the sound for films. Everyone knows with music you can influence the feelings of the public without them realising this. Sound design goes one step ahead. The person watching the film won't realise that really all the atmosphere, sound effects, sometimes even the sounds from the actors are added later. As for nature films: the cameraman and the soundman each make their own tracks. Later the two parts are connected as realistically as possible. We worked this way on 2 nature films last year (with Max). This year I enjoyed doing the sound design for 'Black Swans'. I have just started work on 'Investigation', a Bulgarian film.

Bart in theatre

After focusing for several years on sound design and mixage, he now is musicaly active again as composer of music for theatre productions. He made 4 productions with Bernadette Jilesen, Claire Leenaers and Rogier Schippers. Recently he made new arrangements and recordings of the songs from Pisuisse that are part of the theatre production "Mensch durf te leven" ('People, Dare to Live'), played by "Het Vervolg" produced by Arie de Mol (on tour thoughout the country in September 2005 ). This year, under private management, together with Bernadette Jilesen, he made the theatre production "Een Engel in de Metro" ('An Angel in the Metro'). This production was performed 10 more times in the program "De Nieuwe Theatermakers" ('New Theatre Makers'). Part from the production can be seen on te site of "Een Engel in de Metro".

The book and CD of the performance "La Femme sans tête" was published in 2002. The book covers the total script of the performance, the CD contains studio-recordings of the otherwise live song fragments. Click on the picture underneath to see a preview of the booklet.
